Book Worm Meme

Well, I'm just finishing The Gospel According to Peanuts...

If you could recommend one book to RuthRE (keeping in mind her discernment....and sense of humor) what would it be?

I just got a promotional email from an Episcopalian publishing house...and i wanted every stinkin' book in it! Dangerous.

The Light

Our lay minister arranged a beautiful and just amazing Easter vigil. It began in our outside courtyard, lighting the paschal candle...processed into the fellowship hall which was then ablaze with candles on a central table....with chairs surrounding. There were readings and hymn/psalm responses....then a procession to the sanctuary for the homily, etc, a rememberance of baptism...and the eucharist.

It was so special, I can't describe. This "one big service" as Maunday Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil...are referred to is all encompasing. It was again special to share this service with my church family.

A blessed Easter to you all. Christ is risen!

Church Family, Baby, Palms, Passion

As we were passing the peace today....an older gentleman in our choir said (while shaking my hand) that today was "PALM" Sunday.....palm..hand...get it?

Our lay minister (soon to be ordained) who's running services lately had to be absent today because.....his wife gave birth an hour before service! I had the great privaledge of taking over his part in a three-person reading of Mark's passion. Being the "Pastor" part I got to start and finish it. It was special.

We all had to rally together pre-service to make sure everything was in place...palms etc...and help our guest celebrant (retired Episcopal) with the service order, etc. It was such a warm, church family day.

My appologies to anyone who's commented on my ramblings in the past few weeks.
I got hit by a random spammer on that "Help Wanted" post...and thought I'd try and add the word verification to avoid a repeat.....but I DIDN'T realize that all of my comments were then moderated and pending approval by me! So they sat in that section of the blogger account pages.....and I thought that no one was coming by to visit! HA :)

Just what is the perfect setting for comments?
(it's funny, i work with computers for a living...and there's stuff in this here blogger that confuses me still).
