I've been in a strange mood lately.
I'm literally about to mail off all of the candidacy stuff...including the app $ which my congregation is covering....and suddenly I'm full of apprehension.

Offer me some words please.

It's 12:30 and I'm still writing a sermon!
I knew before I left for vacation that this was coming up.
I came back from vacation in some weird state. I really felt like I'd been to the other side of the planet, and got sucked into a vortex for a few weeks. Of course, I just went to the west coast for one week. I've been catching up with life. Which included five thousand errands and visits today. So....yah....I'm also teaching confirmation for 2 hours after the service. I'm going to be absolutely LOOPY by the afternoon.

Anyway....time on here is time I could use to get this thing done.

Back from the Left Coast

Okay, okay okay, I am back. I've been too lazy and jet-lagged to post or even catch myself up on anyone else's blog :) I had a great time. It's amazing how being away a week, far far away, can tweak your perspectives a little.

Quick assessment of trip:
Arizona=FRIGGIN HOT and FRIGGIN DRY.
I could never move there, I would die. I just barely made it out.

Cali= WEEE! Stayed with awesome friends who I just adore(and hadn't seen in 8 years). They were so friggin' sweet. And the weather was awesome. I was told it's to become an annual visit.

The whole trip felt like more than a week....and I consider that a good sign.

who knew there was a computer in the basement here?
i wasn't going to use it at all.....but I managed to get myself nice and dehydrated today wandering around the downtown.....so i'm taking in creature comforts. i won't venture off without the car anymore, yikes :)

California tomorrow. I'm plowing through Christopher Moore's "Lamb", thanks for the tip boys.
