Bonjour

Having good Christmas vacations? It's nice to lounge about. Maybe I'll do some housework tomorrow. I did well with use of gift cards today. Got a swell book on crocheting. Got some awesome books as gifts.

So I've been sitting here sifting through financial aid information. Anyone have any scholarships, funds, grants that I should be looking into?

Are ya listenin? (as in...Sleigh Bells Ring...or an Advent theme...)

Well I haven't posted in a while :)
I'm still struggling with my asthma...but I've got some better treatments for it.
Got the tree up with my parents help this weekend. Wrapped gifts...glad I shopped early. I've been helping my brother via the phone to shop on Amazon. He's in upstate NY as an adjunct prof. for the year. He hates shopping, and hates wrapping. I think he's finally taken my advice..and is doing most if not all online, paying for wrapping and shipping to my parents house. DONE :)

Today was to be our Sunday school program. Ice storm! All was canceled. Just as well, we were a bit under-rehearsed. We'll have the kids who show up next week sing one of the songs I think. I didn't venture out. I joined the good folks at the National Cathedral for the 11 am service, via live streaming video. That was nice!

Then I pulled out the Sunday paper around lunch. What's next? A full week! Pretty much something going on Wed thru Christmas. I'll enjoy the next two days in peaceful quiet perhaps. Just one more gift to buy....for our work Secret Santa....weehaw...(blegh).

How're you?

UGH

It's been a frustrating week over here. I was really sick this time last year....and my asthma's never really recovered. I find myself this week, to be sick yet again...and on steroids. I just want to enjoy advent and Christmas as a healthy person darnit!

I should've skipped out of the youth lock-in to stay home and sleep in my own bed all night.
Ahh, well. Keep popping pills and visiting the doctor I guess...

*cough* *cough*...

9 or 8 times out of 10 when I stayed home "sick" from school (up though highschool) I was faking it. It was usually due to a test or something due....or a simple mental health day. It still required some acting on my part. I always felt guilty though. I never could get through the day without feeling some remorse. Of course, watching daytime was fun.

It's strange, but that guilt still exists. Whenever I call out of work I feel guilty like I'm lying. The thing is, I usually only call out when I actually AM sick. Today I stayed home...feeling sick...but more importantly...wanting to stay home and rest to prevent from getting *really* sick. So I felt some guilt all day, but it was unjustified. Weird, ehh?

We'll see how "the season" inspires my boss. If she'll be sympathetic to my health...or want her $h1t done NOW! :)
